Carbide prices continue to fluctuate. Reconditioning is a smart way to extend tool life and control tooling costs without sacrificing performance.
IMCO’s reconditioning service restores cutting geometry and renews coatings so your end mills return ready to perform.
Our reconditioning service precisely restores carbide end mills by regrinding critical cutting geometries and refreshing coatings when required. The process is designed to return tools to productive service while maintaining consistent performance and quality.
Getting started is easy. Ship tools directly to our Perrysburg facility or work through your distributor. Once received, tools are sorted and identified before a quote is issued through your distributor. After approval, the reconditioning process begins.
When completed, every tool is inspected, packaged in new tubes with updated labels, and returned ready for use.
IMCO reconditions carbide end mills, including both IMCO tools and competitor brands. Competitor tools are matched to the closest IMCO standard geometry to ensure reliable performance.
Supported sizes range from 3/16” diameter tools up to 1-1/2” diameter and 13-1/2” overall length, including metric sizes within that range. There is no minimum order quantity, making it easy to send tools whenever they’re ready.
Typical turnaround time is 3–5 weeks, depending on coating requirements. Pricing is based on the tool’s size and geometry, including flute count, diameter, end style, and length of cut.
Orders over $1,000 qualify for free return freight and are shipped in IMCO’s reusable reconditioning tote for convenient future regrind shipments.
